This presentation discusses a study investigating (1) the relationship between interface design and pilots’ attention distribution; (2) the relationship between interface design and pilots’ SA performance; (3) the relationship between interface design and pilots’ perceived workload; (4) the relationship between pilots’ perceived workload and pilots’ in-flight decision-making.
Dr Wen-Chin Li is a senior lecturer in the Safety and Accident Investigation Centre at Cranfield University. His research interests include Human Factors in Flight Operations, Aeronautical Decision-making Training, Cockpit Design, Human Factors Methods, Fatigue/Stress Risk Management and Accident Investigations.
