The Ergonomics and Human Factors Group brings together experts from the fields of ergonomics, physiology, biomechanics and occupational psychology. We provide a multidisciplinary approach to human centred problems at work which can reap benefits for both the organisation and its individuals by improving organisational efficiency, productivity and morale, and reducing work related injuries, absenteeism and turnover.
Our areas of expertise include upper limb disorders, manual handling, mental wellbeing, display screen equipment, workplace design, product and equipment design, PPE and environmental ergonomics. We work internationally in relation to regulatory compliance, workplace interventions, evaluation, systematically reviewing evidence and policy development.
